Manual physical therapy: acupressure

We use a “hands on” clinical approach through Joint mobilizations, soft tissue release and massage, acupressure, stimulation and relaxation skills allowing you to have a faster and more efficient recovery.

We use The Graston technique to allow your tissues a fast and efficient recovery. Using specific tools, we can target those areas in your tissues that have been affected by injury, degeneration or a surgical procedure.

Avant Therapy uses the Neurac Method allowing our clients to find a pain free window to a fast recovery. It also offers a challenging environment to athletes improving their performance by stimulating and activating their deep stabilizer muscles and tissues not working at their optimal level and avoiding muscle substitution by other stronger muscles impeding proper form and leading to other injuries and pain.

The Kinesio Taping Method is designed to facilitate the body’s natural healing process while allowing support and stability to muscles and joints without restricting the body’s range of motion. It is used to successfully treat a variety of orthopedic, neuromuscular, neurological and medical conditions.

Dry Needling

Dry needling is the use of solid filiform needles to work on the painful zones or the areas causing referred pain. Based on a neurological screen and physical examination your therapist will treat the areas needed with the use of a very fine needle special for this kind of treatment so you can control your pain.

Dry needling will cause deactivation and desensitization of the painful areas and trigger points. You don’t have to live with limited motion, you don’t have to stay on unfamiliar, uncontrolled and painful territory.

Biofeedback Systems

Auditive, tactile or visual Biofeedback are great methods of neuromuscular re-education.

Avant Therapy uses these techniques to help you improve quality of movement, take you through an effective and fast recovery and give you more tools to stay away from injury.
